Hi, I'm Genesis Mundo—a DONA-trained birth doula, proud Puerto Rican mama, and the heart behind The Birthing Magic.

My own birth experience transformed the way I saw myself. With the support of a doula, I discovered a strength I never knew I had, and that experience inspired me to support other women as they navigate one of the most powerful transitions of their lives.

Prenatal Support

Prepare for birth with personalized prenatal meetings where we'll discuss birth preferences, comfort measures, labor preparation, partner support, and evidence-based information.

Beginning at 38 weeks, I provide on-call support and continuous guidance throughout labor and birth. My role is to help you feel calm, supported, and empowered during one of life's most important moments.

After your baby arrives, we'll reconnect to process your birth experience, answer questions, and ensure you feel supported during your transition into parenthood.

What does a doula do?

A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. My role is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported during your birth journey.

Do you replace my doctor or midwife?

Yes! I support all types of births—hospital, home, or birth center. My role is to help you feel empowered and supported wherever and however you choose to give birth.

No. A doula does not provide medical care. I work alongside your healthcare team to provide continuous support and help you navigate your options.

When should I hire a doula?

Do you support hospital births? What about home or birth center births?

Many families hire a doula during the second or third trimester, but support may be available at any stage of pregnancy.

How do you support during labor?

I offer continuous support through hands-on comfort techniques (like massage, counterpressure, and breathing), emotional encouragement, and help with position changes. I’m there to remind you of your strength and ensure your preferences are respected.
